The Gophers got shut out for the second time this season, losing a rugged,
slow-paced game to the Denver Pioneers. The Gophers simply didn't execute
well tonight. They took ill-advised penalties late in the first period,
giving Denver two power play goals. The Gophers' power play was a study in
futility, going 0-8 for the game, 1-10 for the weekend. Sinuhe Wallinheimo
picked up the shutout for the Pioneers.
Other final scores in the WCHA tonight:
Northern Michigan 8, MICHIGAN TECH 3
ST CLOUD 5, Alaska-Anchorage 2
Colorado College 3, NORTH DAKOTA 2
