Documents discussed at the meeting are linked below and also on the Coronavirus webpage.
Update: COVID Interlibrary Loan Quarantine Guidance<https://www.maine.gov/msl/libs/services/documents/COVIDILLQuarantineGuidance-Update-August25_2020.pdf> (PDF) - August 25
Considerations and Guidance on Library Programming Building Space, Physical Distancing, Masks and Ventilation<https://www.maine.gov/msl/libs/services/documents/COVIDProgrammingConsiderations.pdf> - PDF
COVID-19 Environmental Controls Resources<https://www.maine.gov/msl/libs/services/documents/COVIDEnvironmentalControlsResourcesAug262020.pdf> (PDF)- Prepared by MSL Library development staff. Resources are from CDC, EPA, ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-conditioning Engineers and OSHA. Updates added from meeting.
Reminder: Due to a variety of practices with local collections and quarantine, libraries should quarantine materials when received via ILL/Van Delivery or USPS Mail for 72 hours before circulating to patrons. This is to ensure that quarantine is met for all materials from all libraries. Freedom Xpress is not quarantining library materials but may take an extra day sorting to meet their own COVID practices.
MSL will study the impact of quarantine to provide information regarding how materials are moving through the system. We will revisit each REALM Project<https://www.webjunction.org/explore-topics/COVID-19-research-project.html> results as they are published.
MSL will update libraries on budget curtailment and building as we move through these issues.
Please remember to update library status for MSL and use the form<https://www.maine.gov/msl/libs/directories/library_status_form.shtml> and your Library ID<https://www.maine.gov/msl/libs/services/documents/Library_codes.pdf>
Stay well all. The next meeting will be on September 8, 2020.
