We are thinking of changing our loan rules, and would like to know what
works for you. We are working on joining MILS, so I'm especially interested
in what MILS libraries do. Also with interlibrary loan items coming with
their own due dates, we don't want to have too many different systems going
on.

Currently we loan for two weeks with two renewals, except for new fiction,
which has no renewals (and which has been being overridden a lot). DVDs are
one week with two renewals. We also have a limit of 25 items, and a limit
of 5 dvds.
I think that's probably too short in general. What are your thoughts? What
have you found to work well? Thank you!
