*What is happening?*
Starting at 6AM Sunday morning we will be applying software updates to a
number of servers and rebooting them one at a time.

Two of these servers provide NM, Roaming and Network Self registration.
These services will not be available for the few minutes they take to
reboot.

Two of the servers are the primary DNS, DHCP and LDAP servers. Properly
configured services should not notice anything other than short delays
since these are redundant and only one will be down at a time.

The last two servers are are the master LDAP server and bulk LDAP server.
This should not affect any user facing services other than possible short
delays in password changes while the master LDAP server reboots.

*How long will it take?*
There are 6 servers involved and we expect this to take less than 10
minutes per server. We are reserving additional time in case problems
arise.

*Why is this work necessary?*
New security updates have become available. Getting security patches
applied to systems in a timely manner protects all members of the UMS
community.

What happens if the work is not successful?

*If there are major issues during the upgrade or the testing and
verification processes, we will rollback to the version currently in use,
resolve the issues, and reschedule the work for a future date.If there are
issues with individual services, we will work to correct the issues.*
