*What is happening?*
On Sunday morning maintenance will be performed on the systems hosting the
USM AD password reset tool (web4.doit.usm.maine.edu &
mysql2.doit.usm.maine.edu). A restart is required to complete the
maintenance.
*How long will it take?*
The total downtime is expected to be 30 minutes or less. There may be more
than one reboot required.
*Why is this work necessary?*
New security updates have become available. Getting security patches
applied to systems in a timely manner protects all members of the UMS
community.
*What happens if the work is not successful?*
If the server does not resume normal activities on its own within a
reasonable period of time then staff will troubleshoot it.
