Expected Duration: Less than 20 minutes, starting around 6:00. No
interruption of service expected.
Scope: Sysadmin and system utilities on Doodlebug and Carnelian, which
primarily provide file shares and computer-lab LDAP for UMF.
Summary: This is the first batch of patches that need to be applied to
these systems to bring them up to date. Only patches expected NOT to
interfere with service delivery will be applied this round (things
such as command line utilities and package manager software).
Known service affecting patches, such as those requiring a reboot,
will be applied at a later date, currently targeting October 16th or
23rd. (Announcement for that work expected by the end of the work day
on the 12th or 19th, respectively, if it is not delayed.)
Note: UMF Campus Services was consulted and the UTSC is being notified.
