Try it this way -
8*(1+i)^12 = 25
(1+i)^12 = 25/8 = 3.125
1+i = 3.125^(1/12) = 1.0996
So the annual rate of increase has been just shy of 10%, when inflation has
been running between 3% and non-existent! At this rate, they'll be over
$100 in 2016.
(Well, someone had to pay attention in Engin Eco...)
Still no RPI season ticket brochure, though I haven't sorted today's mail yet.
