Some Hockey-L, Info-Hockey-L and/or Hockey3 posters may have received a
spam notice inviting you, with poor spelling, to visit a sexy web site.
 
Please be assured that the e-mail did not come from the apparent sender,
nor did it come from or through Maine.edu.  You may convince yourself of
this by looking at the envelope or "Received:" lines at the top of the
e-mail you may have received.
 
At this time it appears that some enterprising hacker harvested poster
addresses by either downloading from one of our local redistributions or
our (Gopher) archives or was once subscribed.  There is some evidence
for the first speculation.
 
You didn't ask, but my suggestion is to simply ignore and discard this
spam.  The hacker will most probably go on to something else before too
long.
