...which may seem reasonable if you are a travel agent, but not as a team
member nor anyone in the University budget office. Whatever reasonable is, you
are paying normally for a charter flight or for 22 players, 4 coaches,
trainer, equip. mgr., etc which is 30-35 people times $750 per person, and
what do you get? $$$$?? Add to that about four nights of hotel rooms (15-20
rooms) and meals at Alaska prices (in US dollars). As for good connections,
our guys spend a day in Seattle on one leg of the trip because the connections
are NOT GOOD. That means they leave at least by Wednesday afternoon and get
back at best Sunday night if not Monday. So they are missing at least three
and maybe four days of school. This is not pretty good, but awful darn ugly.
