Saw a blurb in the current on-line NCAA News that the NCAA will be
sponsoring a championship in Women's Ice hockey for the 2000-2001 season.
 
Details beyond that are incomplete.
 
Now for some speculation (heck it is summer):
 
40 Div 1 teams means 8 NCAA participants under the 20% rule -- but I think
I'd just do 4.  (2 E - 2W or 1 W - 3E).  I don't think we have that strong
a field for 8 (or do we?).
 
Campus site of one of the semi finalists.  A neutral site would not draw as
well.
