Couple of items of note in the early off-season:
According to the Troy Record, Jay Pandolfo is anchoring the first line for
the Albany River Rats in their Calder Cup defense in the AHL.
And also according to Mike M's recent post, Paul Kariya of the Ducks lost
all or part of 8 teeth recently to Neuwendyk's (sp?) stick and made some
comment about wishing he had the full face protection he wore at Maine. Is
there a rule that says NHL players CANNOT wear such? Sounds illegal to me
if so... of course, 8 teeth and several mill per year is probably a trade
most people would make :-)
