I have some questions somewhat related to Gerald Williams post regarding
the penalty box layout of arenas.

1) Is the NCAA preferred rink size the standard 200 feet by 85 feet?

2) Is the "Olympic size" rink of 200 feet by 100 feet the new NCAA
preferred standard or an option?

I mention this because the newest rink in the WCHA (Minnesota's
Mariucci Arena) went with the "Olympic size" rink.

3) What is the rink size of other recently built arenas and soon to be
built arenas?

I would be interested to know if there is a "trend" towards the larger ice
surface or not.

If anyone has answers to these questions feel free to post me privately.
If I get enough feedback to form some conclusions I'll post it. Thanks.
