The Gophers WERE missing 5 of their 12 regular forwards as well as one
defenseman.
Freshmen Reggie Berg, Erik Rasmussen, and Wyatt Smith and sophomore Casey
Hankinson are with the USA junior team. Freshman Mike Anderson left the
Harvard game in the first period with a slight shoulder separation.
Sophomore defender Jason Godbout was held out of the series, still suffering
headaches from a concussion after being checked from behind into the boards
in Anchorage.

I was encouraged that the Gophers did as well as they did against Harvard,
but the decimation of the forward lines was all too apparent last night.
The BGSU defenders did a good job in making things difficult for the Gopher
forwards, and there were times when it was obvious from both their offensive
and defensive play that the Gopher forwards had no feel for where their
linemates were.

Hopefully this is a problem that will be remedied when the Gophers get the
other 41.7% of their forwards back!
