The NC$$ manual is 511 pages long

General regulation 12.2.3.2.4.1 on page 73 covers this
12.2.3.2.4.1
12 Amateurism
   2 involvement with professional teams
     3 competition
2 competition with professionals (you lose
your eligibility if you competed with a team and
                      knew the team was professional
4 Major A Junior Ice hockey (prima facie
                        evidence of professional competition)
1 Limitation on restoration of eligibility (if
appeal, you still lose a season)

my understanding is that latendrese (because of Jr. A) had only 3
years of eligibility, and apparently has already used them. Tory, on
the other hand, was ineliugible because of grade point, and sat out
until his grades were high enough.
