What the crux of this issue seems to be is one of
        two things:

        1) According to NCAA rules regarding those who played
Junior-B hockey, Latendresse was only to be afforded
two years of eliginxx eligibility in the first place adxx
and the Maine compliance people have caught a violation
"in the nick of time" before it could take place.

        Or...

        2) According to these rules, Latendresse is ineligible because
he did not sit out the correct amount of time in light of
his Junior-B, Junior-A, and Prop. 48 status. He has therefore
been ineligible for every game he has played in ixx with
        Maine.

No.1 would be an example of Maine making progress with its
compliance proceedures, and they should be applauded for it.

No.2 is a very scary scenario for the Black Berasxx Bears
and could end the Maine hockey program as we know it. Believe it,
        it's happend, ask SMU.

Unfortunatly, the Globe piece today was vageue, not ex leaving
a clear impression of wixx which has actually happened.
But Maine's national championship is very much in doubt.
