Announced yesterday by several of the local media ..
Patrice Tardif has signed a three-year two-way deal with the St. Louis
Blues and will try out with them this Fall. If he doesn't make the big
club, he will be assigned to Peoria. The deal has been reported to be
$200,000 (or %50,000 at Peoria) and is said to include a $100,000
signing bonus.
Patrice, as some of us Mainers might say, is "happy as a clam"!
On an unrelated note, I understand several Maine "hockey graduates" are
expected back for the Black Bear Classic, a golf tournament - fund
raiser, including Patrice, Jim Montgomery and Mike Dunham.
cheers,
Wayne Smith
