I see that Hockey East is about to impliment shootouts. I think it's
an inriguing idea, as long as its for regular season games only.
Although Steve W. made a very good observation about: is it a good
idea that Hockey East uses different methods to determine winners/losers
than the other leagues? If I'm not mistaken, all other leagues have
one 5-minute OT and if it's still deadlocked, each team gets one point.
Is the fact that HE has a shootout and the others not, going to
screw up the ratings? Will it give HE teams an advantage in the
ratings?
