Saturday, April 9:
 
Frank Cirone, a Senior standout for the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point
hockey team received top honors as the American Hockey Coaches Association
college division player of the year Tuesday.
 
In his 4 years with the Pointers the Scarborough, Ontario, native netted 71
goals and 161 points in 121 games.  During that time, the Pointers won two
National NCAA Division III Championships and were runners-up once.
 
"Frank Cirone is not only an outstanding hockey player and team leader, but a
great student that has high moral character," said Joe Baldarotta, Cirone's
head coach the last 3 seasons.  "He plays all game situations, from special
teams to regular shifts, and has never 'not shown up' to do his job to the
best of his ability in anything I have asked him to do."
