* What is happening?

On Wednesday, August 29, 2018, from 3:00 AM - 6:00 AM, US:IT staff
will be relocating the infrastructure supporting the UMS Account
Management environment and related systems.

During the maintenance period, UMS User Account Management
self-service functions and administrative facilities will not be
available, back-office operations for account provisioning, service
provisioning, and contingent interfaces will be suspended.

Note that directory services (LDAP, Active Directory) and single
sign-on facilities (CAS, Shibboleth) are not directly affected by this
maintenance.

* Why is this work necessary?

The environment currently hosting the infrastructure is being
decommissioned by the DC Operations team.


* What happens if the work is not successful?

Troubleshooting will continue on new location by the DC Operations team.
