Library Closure Communication Update
Thanks to you all for keeping MSL up to date with closure information.
We have been working on a way to automate this and have it reflected in our Public and Academic Library Directories. Adam Fisher, who does double duty as our webmaster and Director of Collection Development, Digital Initiatives and Promotion, has just about completed his work and we will be testing it out over the weekend.  I hope to be able to provide you all a link to both update your library's information plus provide us with some other information about your coronavirus activities on Monday, March 30.  I know many of you will be establishing new dates.  If you can wait until Monday and use the form to update, my inbox will thank you!
Unfortunately, we are asking some of the same type of questions that PLA is asking in their national survey that Lisa Shaw posted this morning.  Please make the MSL update form your first priority.  Then please do your annual report for Jenny Melvin, then you can do the PLA survey.
I appreciate how busy you all are managing the coronavirus impact on your library, staff and community and I hope having a good statewide resource will help us all manage the changes we face over the next few weeks or months.
You have all been so very responsive.  We have a great library community in Maine. Thanks for all you are doing.  Stay well and take care of yourselves.
