I'm looking for hockey quotes to go into a youth hockey newsletter that I edit.
Send your favorites to me via Email.
I posted this request to r.s.h. and was going to leave it at that, but
John H's quote where Jamie Ling was first called a sniper by a commentator,
and then called a cherry picker by his own coach made me reconsider. Good
one, John!
My top three star favorites are:
"Be the first to the puckcarrier and arrive in ill humour." Fred Shero
"I couldn't win at home, and I couldn't win on the road. My failure as
a coach was that I couldn't think of anywhere else to play."
- Previous Vancouver coach and broadcaster Neale
During a game last year, Shawn Van Allen, then with the Edmonton Oilers, was
involved in a collision and was dazed by the hit. After examining him,
the trainer returned to the bench and told head coach Ted Green that
Van Allen didn't know who he was. "Good", said Green, "Tell him he's
Wayne Gretzky".
Thanks in advance.
