Actually, the NCAA isn't producing the Minn vs Maine game either.

This is taken from an article in the Star Tribune, yesterday:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In past years, the NCAA has produced both the first round and quarterfinals of
the men's
tournament. But with the NCAA holding its inaugural women's hockey tournament
this
weekend at Mariucci Arena, the organization's production arm decided to do
those games
and not the men's first-round matchups.
As a result, MSC and a Maine television station will coordinate to produce
Friday's
Gophers-Black Bears game from the East Regional in Worcester, Mass.
Maine announcers Joe Carr and Scott Smith will call the action.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, it is because of the Women's Championships that you only have one Friday
game being broadcast.
