And I believe his brother, Mel, who preceded him as one of the most popular
All-Americans at Michigan, served in a coaching capacity for the Japanese
National Team.  The Wakabayashi brothers and a black player formed a line in
junior hockey in Chatham, Ontario which had already wrapped up the league
scoring title for the season when Mel enrolled at Michigan in mid-season.
