Bemidji State in conference
 
Bemidji State will join College Hockey America, a seven-team NCAA Division
I men's hockey conference starting in the 1999-2000 season.
 
Other teams in the conference are Air Force, Alabama-Huntsville, Army,
Findlay (Ohio), Niagra University and Wayne State (Mich.). Wayne State will
enter in 2000-2001.
 
The new conference, which will conduct its postseason tournament next March
in Huntsville, will apply for an automatic bid into the NCAA Division I
championship for the 2001-2002 season.
