You only assured the Dartmouth 10-3 victory when you said "Now, I am sure
that I have guaranteed a 10-3 Dartmouth victory."  This also, if I recall
Hofstader correctly, has something to do with a Quine sentence.
 
The combination of saying both probably means something utterly unforseeable
, like the defection of a star player to Division III.
