Well, there is a right way and a wrong way to do things, folks. That
is something you learn in life over time. Leaving six weeks before
practice starts is the wrong way -- no matter how you cut it, no matter
what rationalization you want to use. I'll leave it at that.

Interestingly enough, if Union had wanted to keep Sneddon (who might well
have taken the Colgate assistant's job himself), figuring it was going to
lose an unhappy Moore anyway, then this was a good trade for them given
the options. But if so, the execution on the announcements could have
been a little more seamless, and they could have been spun more
effectively. The Union AD was in Hyannis at the ECAC meeting when this
story broke and then took a couple of days to announce his selection upon
his return. That suggests surprise on Union's part, so the conclusion
must be drawn that they weren't in a position to influence any of the
events. Even so, as it stands, the situation leaves a non-optimum
impression when it could have been presented by both schools as something
better.
