That's going to happen whenever a team falls. If Michigan suddenly
started playing like they couldn't beat Eastern Michigan, I'm sure all of
the CCHA would be talking about it.

Which big Corporate Dollars? Do you mean Minnesota boosters? How long
they sit and wait will depend on how the team finishes (bearing in mind
that a good post-season will often heal the sores of a bad regular
season), and what the relative importance of hockey is at Minnesota.
 
So I'm going to ask a question that may be incredibly stupid, and a tiny
bit sacriligeous. What is hockey's importance to the University of
Minnesota, and Golden Gopher sports fans? Put another way, if I walked up
to a Minnesota fan/alumnus and said "So, how about those Gophers?" what
sport would he start talking about?
 
I would assume that it is in the top 3, but where does it sit in relation
to the football and basketball teams?
