Durham, NH- The Boston College Eagles has defeated the UNH Wildcats for
the second time this week by a score of 4-1 at the Whittemore Center.
A few notes on the game (IMHO):
1) BC brought ~30 fans that was certainly impressive to say the least.
They had a lot of spirit and at times took the wind out of a stumbling UNH
team/fan section...
2) I fully expected a fight at the handshake, again (96-7 vs Providence
(?)). There was a lot of "choppy" play, and at one point I think
Gravellese let about 5-6 penalties go by that were upsetting to all...
3) BC missed on *TWO* empty net chances. Rather humorous!
4) I think what one the game was BC's aggressive (and sometimes "angry")
fore-checking. UNH had a hard time getting past the blue line.
5) Matile, though having let-up 3 goals, had a good night in net.
6) The game would have been tied at 3-3 if it weren't for those gosh darn
poles that go "DING!"
That's about it. BC is obviously impressive. I think the game does not
say that UNH is dropping, so much as that BC is up and coming. I fully
expect tto see them in the HE Finals, and probably further....
