The Men's Ice Hockey Championship's were held this past weekend March
1-3 in Lake Placid for the N.J.C.A.A.'s (National Junior College
Athletic Association)
 
Teams participating were: Canton College of Technology (Canton, NY),
Itasca Community College (Grand Rapids, Minnesota), North Country
Community College (Saranac Lake, NY) and Rainy River Community College
(International Falls, Minnesota).
 
Canton College Northstars (formerly Northmen) became the NATIONAL
CHAMPIONS for the 13th time since the beginning of the NJCAA Tournament
in 1972.
 
Congratulations to Coach Terry Martin (named Coach of the Year) and the
Northstars.  Thanks for an exciting season.
