I agree with while the game is in progress.  But after a goal is just as
bad in my mind.  Lets say the fans throw pennies, instead of a rodent of
somekind, and the players are celebrating the goal.  Do you think the
players are really watching where they skate?  If they hit one of these
objects thrown on the ice, it could be potentially dangerous to players
from both sides.
 
I'm sorry, I just think the whole thing of throwing objects onto the ice
is stupid.  I don't think it promotes good sportsmanship and it detracts
from the game.
 
And yes, I know it happens here in St. Cloud as well.  But I also know
that security escorts the person from the Hockey Center after it happens
(if they can find who did it).
