Oh Please!!

Reusse attends approximately 4 college hockey games a year and admits that
he hates hockey. He once said some like, "I'd like hockey just fine if they
got rid of the ice and had five black guys play." (This was before PC and
don't flame me , I didn't say it.) I think Pat couldn't think of anything
to write, noticed that Spehar verbally committed to the U and decided to fall
back on the tries and true : Woog bashing. It always provokes a reaction.

I wish to point out a few things: 1) Don't assume that because a some
loudmouth Minnesota fans insult Canadians that it accurately reflects the
views of most Gopher fans or the Gopher program. I doubt anyone here would
wish to have their most obnoxious fans speak for them either.
2) I think it's insulting to other programs and schools to assert that
because the Gophers get all the best players in Minnesota that they should
automatically win a national title every three years or so.
3) The Gophers don't get ALL the best players from Minnesota, just most
of them. Many go elsewhere with good reason (no one school is best for
all people), just sitting here I can think of a few names: fairchild, Plante,
Hultgren, Osieki, Cullen, joe bianchi, the strobels etc. It seems that
If a great MN h.s. kid commits to the Gophers, Woog gets no credit since
they're all "supposed to" But if a kid doesn't, then it must be Woog's
fault somehow. I think this attitude is also insulting to the Player's
who make the decision and also to the schools that recruit them.

There! I feel better.
