As Charlie reported, Colorado College sweeps Michigan Tech this weekend
by easily winning tonight 9-3. It was a night of special teams, as CC
had 4 short handed goals, 3 power play goals, one 4x4 goal, and one even
strength goal. Scoring for the Tigers were McNeill (4 goals), Geronazzo,
Christopherson, Paxton, Elfring (his first collegiate goal), and Sweezo
(an empty-net-short-handed goal with about 2:15 left in the game). For
Tech, Seale scored twice and Brent Peterson scored once. Caravaggio was
replaced for the third period. CC lost Kent Fearns at the end of the
first period when he received a 10 minute misconduct for arguing with one
of the refs, and he sat out the rest of the game according to team policy.
CC is now in first place in the WCHA, with 18 points.
