As a long time WMU fan, I can tell you it is a WMU trait to either
play up or down to the competion.  Offensively WMU can hold their own
against just about anyone.  Defense could be their weak spot.  They
have one established goalie, Brian Renfrew.  I know nothing about the
back-up Mitchell.  This year WMU finally has some size.
Traditionally they were physically smaller than the elite teams in
the CCHA, MSU, LSSU U-M.  Freshman defenseman Steve Duke as been a
great addition. They will probably be 4-5th in the CCHA.
