I think it is much too early to get bent out of shape
about this team ranked and that one not. In fact, I am
not certain that polls tell anything about hockey until after
Christmas. Early season polls are largely a combination of
hype, wishful thinking and hold over from the previous year.

Let the teams decide on the ice. It is nice to have cross
league comparisons; but remember last year? Where was Michigan
at the end? Where was Maine and UNH? (Closer to home, where
was Tech?) I think it is better to be unranked at this stage
to avoid complacency and lack of objectives to improve with.
