Merrimack was once again buried in HE playoff action last nite. As Mike
has already made a detailed post, I'll just add some interesting
statistical nuggets.

Merrimack hass surrendered 7 or more goals in 5 playoff games (in varying
formats) since joining HE.

They have scored 3 or fewer goals in six playoff games since joining
hockey east.

They have one only 1 HE playoff game since joining and have never won a
series.

In 8 total playoff contestss since '89-'90, MC's scoring is as follows:

GF: 19
GA: 49

In the last four years, the stats are even worse:

GF: 7
GA: 35

The 7-1 loss to Lowell last night matches ( I believe, correct me if I'm
wrong, Mike) their worst margin of defeat this year (6 goals in an 8-2
loss to Maine). Not sure of that, thought, can't find my schedule in the
suitcase right now.

In short, in addition to MC's rather slow progress up the HE ladder,
there has been no progress, in fact a decline, in the team's playoff
performance since 1990.

Well, I'll be watching whatever HE game I can find on NESN tonite, just
hope the Warriors can fare a little better (at least).
