The regular Thursday college hockey report was in the NYT today:
Princeton: The Tigers haven't been very good in many years, but they're
having a goodj season. D Brent Flahr was named the mvp after the Dexter
Tournament. J. P. JO'Connor and James Konte were voted to the
all-tournament team.
Maine: D Jeff Tory and Chris Imes and F Dan Shermerhorn were voted to the
Dexter all-tournament team.
Colgate: Tim Loftsgard was voted to the Dexter all-tournament team.
More tournaments: There are 9 of these 2-night, 4-team events before New
Year's. "they are fun and in some cases make a little money." Said the
one with teh most unique title is teh Codfish Bowl, for Division III teams.
New Hampshire: Wildcats are unbeaten in their last 9 games. Two good
shooters are Eric Flinton and Nick Poole.
World Juniors: The U.S. team has 11 college players, includes 3 from
Boston University: Shawn Bates, Mike Grier and Chris Kelleher.
Television: More college hockey games are on TV because ofj the NHL
lockout. The ECAC will have some games on TV:
Jan. 7 on SportsChanel New England: Cornell at Rensselaer (tape-delay
presentation beginning at 7 P.M.
Feb. 13: Beanpot Tournament final
March 18: ECAC tournament campioniship from Lake Placid
They also had the standings from all 4 Division I conferences.
