Hello!
I
As a late tuner-inner to the Lowell-brown fiasco of last night, I'd have to
agree with recent postings about the alleged sportscasting abilities of
the Gamere-Park crew on Channel 50. I know this was blowout, and all, but,
it seemed that Gamere had to nudge Park a few times to elicit a choice color
comment or two late in the contest, lest Brad succumb to the general torpor
of the whole scene and drift off to sleep. Gamere did more of a "man-on-the-street" take on the game action, almost as if he were talking to a close friend
about the game, instead of describing the play as it proceeded. This was a bit
disconcerting to those accustomed to the announcers keeping up with the nuances
of the game, etc... Oh well, at least it was another "hockey outlet" here in theEast.
Oh yeah, put my vote in as well for Mike M. to start a palace coup, sweep out
Mr. Gamere, and take on the Channel 50 job.
