The following is taken from an ECAC press release sent out on January 5, 1993.

Effective January 1, 1993, USAir becomes the official sponsor of the Men's Ice
Hockey Player-of-the-Week and Rookie-of-the-Week program. (For Division I and
ECAC East/West/SUNY/North/South/Central).

The agreeement with USAir stipulates that the actual presentation of the award
certificate to the winning player will be made by a representative from USAir
except in those cases where USAir is unable to arrange for a representative to
be present, in which case the SID is expected to make other arrangements for
the presentation.

SIDs should expect to hear from USAir within five days after the certificates
have been mailed. The purpose of that phone call is to line up the time and
place for the presentation of the awared by the USAir representative. The SID
will decide the time and place in discussion with the ECAC representative.
Although the time and place will vary, the ECAC suggests that the presenation
be made on the ice during an upcoming home game.
