A response for David Smith and anyone else following the Michigan-Ohio State
discussion. Sorry about cluttering up the list with this one, but I'm
hoping that David and I aren't the only people interested in this.

Dave -

  - I rarely see the Bucks away from Yost, so I certainly conceed that maybe
this style of play if fairly limited to the OSU-Michigan series.
  - Much of what I say/said is generated from anger towards OSU. You're
exactly right - Michigan and Ohio State bring out the worst in each other.
To put my feelings into context, if Hitler, Sadam H and Jerry Welsh were
standing against a wall and I had a gun with only two bullets...I'd shoot
Jerry twice just to be sure.
  - You're also right that Loney had a great season (I've been trying to
tout him) and shouldn't be judged by this one ugly incident. I haven't
seen a replay either, so I'm pissed solely but what I caught with the naked
eye. Still, he WILL be roughed up by the Michigan crowd next season, and
by the players as well I assume (the eye-for-an-eye theory which Michigan
painfully practices). As Jerry would say, "...these things happen."
  - The coin comment was a cheap shot towards OSU by me. Yes, they were
throwing coins onto the ice which is stupid. But the Michigan crowd is
guilty of similar incidents as well. We're trying to stop this, the crowd
has a tendency to harrass anyone that throws anything no matter what team
they are for, but we'll always have that idiot minority that thinks it's
funny/cute to throw things. Maybe if we threw them onto the ice as well,
they'd think twice.
  - Anyway, glad that you're back. I'm sure that you enjoyed the nice run
that Cornell made in the ECAC tourney.
