Why did you all automatically come to the conclusion that UNH is the team to
go West before either BC or BU?

In the comparisons
UNH def. BC
BC def. BU
BU def. UNH

3-way tie ...

UNH has the best RPI of the three ... they would be the first to stay East.

This is what happened a few years ago when it was a toss-up between Cornell,
UNH and Clarkson I believe.

Putting Colgate into the mix, makes it trickier ... They are probably the
worst draw of any team there, so that might matter. But, they win
comparisons with UNH and BC.

I'd say that it would be fairer to Colgate to stay East, because they win 2
comparisons against the other 3. Or, the committee could take Colgate out
of the equation, anoint them the No. 4 seed in the East, and then have it
come down to the other 3 teams.

If that's the case, and it just comes down to the three HEA teams -- then,
by my understanding, UNH stays East and BU and BC go West - because it's a
3-way tie and UNH has the best RPI.

Then you'd have in the East:

1. Maine
2. SLU
3. UNH
4. Colgate
5. Niagara
6. St. Cloud

And in the West:

1. Wisconsin
2. NoDak
3. BC
4. MSU
5. BU
6. Michigan

Of course I still think it's possible that Niagara is considered as part of
7 Eastern teams, at which point they'd make BC or BU the No. 6 Western team
for the purpose of being moved back East on the swap giving you something
like ...

East
3. UNH
4. Colgate
5. BU
6. St. Cloud

West
3. MSU
4. Niagara
5. Michigan
6. BC

I don't know -- it's just a possibility ...
