I've heard this idea mentioned, but the logic of travel partners hooking up
to relieve Dartmouth the burden of facing a fresh team defeats itself. In
this scenario, one of the travel partners puts itself at a disadvantage
playing Saturday-Sunday while Dartmouth becomes the rested team playing
Friday-Sunday. I'm all for helping Dartmouth somewhat, but that's a little
overboard.

Shifting most of the Saturday games to Sunday afternoon alleviates most of
the advantage that would have been gained for Dartmouth's Saturday opponents
(with the exception of this coming weekend at Cornell/Colgate). While the
most unlikely scenario for ranking the teams (based on winning pct.) was
chosen, it does appear to be the most equitable. I'm sure the folks at
Harvard would argue that, though (T-1st to T-7 by my calculations). Given
the circumstances, IMO, the league handled it in the best possible manner.
