Tribune.  It said that one of the prominent restructuring proposals is to
combine the WCHA and the CCHA into one conference and divide it up into
three divisions as such. . .

Interesting! A couple of years ago, a prominant NCAA official was here and made the comment (in effect) that having multiple Conferences, etc. was devastating to college hockey - i.e., different rules, the redundant adminstrative costs, and so forth. He felt that it was crucial to have one Comissioner, one Division I college hockey adminstrative group and etc.
 
Maybe that spark of an idea has seen some life blown into it! A start would be the WCCHA!
