Well so far it's been an exciting series.

Some points I would like to make:

1) Union seems to be playing well over their talent. Playing on emotion
and heart is what they are doing. Not to say that Union has a team that does
not have talent, they most certainly do, it just seems like the level of
play is bolstered by emotion and heart.

2) Neil Little was awful in Friday's game. Of the 4 goals, 3 of them were
soft. He rebounded well on Saturday though and had a strong game.

3) Ron Pasco is snakebit. He misses the breakaway on Fri against Gallant,
and mnisses a 2 on 1 and about 4 wraparounds on Saturday.

4) Seems that after period 1 of last night, the Enigneers figured that
they could beat Villa up high. So what happens? Majic wrists one high and
in. Hamelin goes hi to tap it in. Hamelin high again.

5) Engineer injury situation: Layzell is skating today, may actually
play tonight. Cuthbert is doubtful. Slight sprain of the knee. Pirrong has
a twisted ankle. Caught his skate in a crevice between the boards and twisted
it.

6) Union could not get to the puck at all last night. And when they did,
they entered the zone offsides many times. Give credit to the blue line
players for holding up the forwards of Union.

7) People that impressed me the most so far in this series:

Union:
Will. This defensemen can skate and seems to handle the puck very well.
Gallant and Villa: Just sound fundamentally in net
Stevens: Scrappy and handles the puck well, good vision of ice.
Ford: This guy can score if he wants to, and makes it look easy

RPI:
Rochon: Just a hitter he has turned into
Askew: Shows why he was #2 in defensive forward voting last year
Majic: He has stepped it up an extra notch
Perardi: Hit hit and hit

8) People not impressing me:

Union:
Jiampetti: He is purely stickwork that boy
Albert: Ditto
Simonton: Loses an edge when faced with pressure and no puckhndling

RPI:
Little: Did someone say Hobey Baker?
Pasco: Put it in the net Ronnie
Kiley: Much to indcisive with the puck

Should be a good one tonight, and like last year, the Engineers go into game 3
with the momentum and the edge in play. We will really see how well Coach
Delventhal has his players ready for Div I playoffs.
