Does anyone know how "contagious" silverfish are in books or papers?
I know sometimes they'll eat one book and not another. If there are no
signs of damage, are they ok to introduce to a collection?
I never even think about it when I get donations, I just look for
mold/musty smells.
I'm also asking because I have some books from my parents' house that were
exposed, and I"m not sure if they all need freezing or if they're ok as
long as they're not showing signs of damage.
How do you handle these situations? Thank you!
Best,
Sue
