*What is happening?*
Starting at 6AM Wednesday morning we will be applying software updates to
the Shibboleth/SSO server.
*How long will it take?*
Users may notice a slight service disruption resulting in an inability to
login to selected applications but the duration of the interruption should
be limited to less than 5 minutes.
*Why is this work necessary?*
New security updates have become available. Getting security patches
applied to systems in a timely manner protects all members of the UMS
community.
*What happens if the work is not successful? *
If there are major issues during the upgrade or the testing and
verification processes, we will rollback to the version currently in use,
resolve the issues, and reschedule the work for a future date.
