Gophers senior goalie, Steve De Bus was named WCHA Defensive Player
of the Week on Tuesday for his play in last weekend's series against
Minnesota-Duluth.
De Bus stopped 64 of 70 shots in a weekend split, including 25 or 26 shots
in Minnesota's 5-1 win on Saturday.
Junior forward Wyatt Smith, who had four goals in the series, was beaten
out for the league's offensive award by Michigan Tech's Andre Savage
who had two goals and three assists in a split at Denver.
