CCHA PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Chris Bergeron, a junior right wing from Miami
University, has been selected CCHA Player of the Week for the week ending
November 30, 1991.
Bergeron, a 5-11, 188-pound native of Wallaceburg, Ontario, had a three points
over the weekend as the Redskins won three of four points (win and a tie) in a
home-and-home series with Bowling Green. In Saturday's 4-4 overtime tie, he
had two goals and one assist. With the score tied at one, he assisted on
Enrico Blasi's goal midway through the second period. Early in the third
period he notched his eighth marker of the season. Following three straight
goals by the Falcons to take a 4-3 lead, Bergeron tallied the game-tying goal
at 15:33.
Bergeron, a former Chatham Mic Mac player, is eligible for this June's
supplemental draft. He is currently serving as the Miami captain.

Felsner's 12-game point streak on line at Lake Superior: University of
Michigan senior forward Denny Felsner has a 12-game point streak dating back
to the last game last season. In that span, he has 11 goals and 18 assists
for 29 points.
Miami has best performance ever vs. Bowling Green: The Redskins of Miami
University garnered three out of a possible four points this past weekend in a
home-and-home series with Bowling Green. Miami's home win on Friday snapped
an 11-game winless streak (0-10-1) against the Falcons. The all-time series
now stands at 40-6-2 in favor of Bowling Green.
Michigan State looks to continue sell-out streak: Michigan State University
has had 105 consecutive regular season sell-outs. This weekend the Spartans
entertain Ohio State in a two-game series at MSU's Munn Arena. The Spartans
are also leading the CCHA with an average home attendance of 6,640.
Three Broncos named to Who's Who in America: Three Western Michigan
University hockey players were named to the Who's Who in America publication.
The trio of seniors is defenseman Andy Suhy, forward Scott Garrow and goalie
Rob Laurie. This is the seventh straight year that a hockey Bronco has been
honored in the publication.
Felsner climbs CCHA charts: Denny Felsner's career statistics in 129 games
overall are 108 goals and 87 assists for 195 points, while in 94 CCHA games,
he has 83 goals and 63 assists for 146 points. His 83 tallies place him in a
tie for fourth, while his 146 points rank him 23rd. He needs just two goals
to move into third place past Nelson Emerson (BGSU, '87-90).
CCHA League Power Play numbers: Through the first 43 league contests this
year, the combined power plays are 122 for 631 for a .193 efficiency while
allowing 18 shorthanded goals.
