Following up on postings from Tony Buffa and Ralph Baer concerning
the 1954 National Championship team from RPI.

This is the complete list of players from that championship year:

Lloyd Bauer
Bruce Baum
Frank Chiarelli (C)
Bobby Fox
Marty Karch
Erik Larson
John Magadini
Abbie Moore
Ambrose Mo Mosco
Bill Mouzavires
Fran Paradise
Gordie Peterkin
Jim Pope
Jim Shildneck (C)
Jerry Weinzler
Harry Williams

However, they did not all play for the entire season.

Erik Larson was the student manager for the team. Harkness let him
suit up for a game against American International College. RPI was
well ahead to winning 12-0 when Larson was allowed to play briefly in
the third period. That was his only game.

Bill Mouzavires played until early February, then missed the rest of the
season.

Jim Shildneck was injured in the fourth game and did not return until
March, then played in the last two regular season games and the
NCAA tournament.

Jerry Weinzler was the backup goalie to Bobby Fox. Weinzler played
only one game, versus Providence in December.

Harry Williams played until March, then was knocked out of action
and missed the NCAA tournament.

So, of the sixteen players listed, only 12 played in the championship
game. That night the lineup had:

Forwards-Peterkin, Mosco, Magadini, Paradise, Moore, Chiarelli,
Baum

Defensemen-Shildneck, Pope, Bauer, Karch

Goalie-Fox

Minnesota had only 14 players that night, so RPI was not as
disadvantaged as people might think.

And to nitpick, RPI beat Michigan 6-4, not 7-4 as the article says.
Also, Colorado Springs is 5900 feet above sea level.
