usc beat ucla 4-3 friday night in los angeles (duh).  it was a pretty good game,with a little bit of chippiness, ans some good scoring chances.  i don't
have the stats, but i'd say that it was a pretty even matchup.
 
as for going varsity in the next couple of years, it could happen.  ucla has
both an a team (which played friday night) and a b team, so the interest is
there.  on the downside, some of the players were not real smooth skaters,
but that may be overcome with good recruiting.  i look forward to keeping
