At the request of Hockey East coaches, the HE commissioner's
office has changed the point-values of wins, shootout wins,
and ties. The change is effective immediately.
 
Teams that win in regulation or overtime will get 5 points,
teams that win a shootout will get 3 points, and teams that
lose a shootout will get 2 points.
